Pursuing your Texas high school diploma equivalency is only the beginning of your education.

At PCI Health you can start your career training while working towards earning your high school diploma equivalency. We offer several healthcare training programs that will train you to become a critical member of a healthcare team.

PCI offers the following training programs for students:

  • Medical Assistant: The need for medical assistants is growing. Students learn how to assist doctors and nurses by checking vital signs and conducting lab tests. Learn medical terminology and procedures from professionals. You’ll practice in lab classes that replicate a real-world workplace so that you gain needed experience. Choose your future from these career paths:
    • Clinic Assistant
    • Clinic Technical Assistant
    • Medical Administrative Office Assistant
    • Medical Office Management
    • Phlebotomy
    • Physical Therapy Aide

  • Dental Assistant: Want to immerse yourself in the world of dentistry? PCI’s Dental Assistant program teaches clinical and administrative skills sought out in dental offices. Receive hands-on training in performing X-Rays and using dental software. Our instructors will nurture you into the dental professional you’re meant to be. This program offers you the opportunity to choose a career path that interests you, including:
    • Dental Assistant
    • Dental Hygienist Assistant
    • Dental Receptionist
  • Medical Office Assistant: Think you’ve got what it takes to manage a medical office? If you’ve got organizational skills and a positive attitude, you’ve got what it takes to be a medical office assistant. In the MOA program, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the skills needed for entry-level medical office roles, including:
    • Billing and Collecting Specialist
    • Insurance Processor
    • Medical Front Office Assistant
    • Medical Office Manager
    • Patient Care Coordinator
    • Support Specialist

Studies show that earning a high school diploma equivalency multiplies career opportunities. By enrolling in PCI’s Eligible Career Pathways Program, you’ll work towards earning your High School Diploma Equivalency while concurrently enrolled in a healthcare training program. You’ll receive needed support and check-ins from our staff. Students have access to computer labs and online support.

Pursuing A High School Diploma Equivalency While Concurrently Enrolled

Students wanting to enroll in PCI’s Eligible Career Pathways Program will need to pass an independently administered, Department of Education approved, Ability to Benefit Test.

Students enrolled in the Eligible Career Pathways Program will be concurrently enrolled in a healthcare training program. If you want to work towards earning your High School Diploma Equivalency while you pursue a career in healthcare, then PCI is right for you.
